ABOUT US
Carl (Dutch) and Shameeza Van Loon (Aruban-Indian), met each other in the Netherlands 1998 and planned their adventurous life journey together. They started with a beautiful 65 ft and two mast traditionally build Ketch Gullet sailing vessel. Their sailing journey began in Turkey 2000 and arrived in Curacao in 2002. They were self sustainable with wind generators and solar panels and lived for seven years on their sailing yacht. In 2015 they moved to Aruba with their two sons, Ocean and Shine van Loon. Today they own Ocean Encounters Aruba and are growing rapidly.

Your female captain is certified with open water experience and has your safety and expectations at heart. All our captains are knowledgeable about the waters they sail and will show you an unforgettable and unique experience during your stay in Aruba.
OUR BOAT
Our 26 ft Seafox is fully equipped with a 300hp Mercury V8 outboard engine (2023), T-top & Bimini Top, Portable Toilet, Blue Tooth Radio, Deck Lights, Freshwater Shower, Snorkel Gear, Fishing Rod Holders and Fishing Rods. And for your safety, First Aid Kit, Certified Life Jackets, Flares, VHF radio , Airhorn, Life Buoy with light and fire extinguishers. Her unique hull design is ideal for our local waters and built to keep comfort, safety and accommodates up to 8 passengers.
